Adele Schatschneider is a “neuro-spicy” textile artist with a ceramics degree. She has been a farm kid, a historic costumer, an art student, a public interpreter, and a props and costume artist for film and stage productions in and around Calgary. She is looking forward to moving to her fifth Alberta locale in the fall to learn how to train service dogs at Medicine Hat College.
When asked how she felt about 19th/20th century architect and theorist Adolf Loos, Schatschneider admitted they would not get along due to her fondness for ornament and her two wholesome tattoos of a winged frog and the Woolmark logo. She is currently contemplating a nudibranch for her third tattoo as they are the only “unsolicited nudes” she desires.
